Grigor Paunov
Grigor Paunov was born in Gabrovo in 1957. Since then, he developed and repeatedly demonstrated his unique talent to work with wood and make everything out of it. In 1983 he graduated the Art Academy in Sofia, specialty carving at Professor Kancho Tzanev. By the accumulated over the years of experience, many exhibitions and "wood" passed through his hands, he was able to prove himself as a modern and diverse, yet very stylish artist.

Passing through many different developments, he focuses on the numerous searches in the creative process that led him successfully forward. Grigor makes a variety of functional wooden furniture and beautiful sculptures in combination with other materials such as glass, stone and metal. In 1996 he made iconostasis for the church of Vanga, as she herself chose him to create it. This is one of his most famous works, in which he has put most of his heart and is known to many people namely with it.

His development and implementation are the iconostasis in the "Sveta Nedelya" church (baptismal hall), restoration and completion of the iconostasis in Glojenski monastery.
